Computational Fluid Dynamics

Vorticity applies CFD to a range of aerodynamic problems for subsonic and supersonic flow using the CFD++ solver and Pointwise code for grid generation. Our team has deep experience of the application of ‘Detached Eddy Simulation’ to evaluate transonic instability for bluff aeroshell shapes. Vorticity has the capability in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Fluid-Structure Interaction simulation necessary to develop aerodynamic databases of simulated objects.

We also have experience of Direct Simulation Monte Carlo methods for rarefied gas flows and have investigated inflatable structures for aerocapture.
