Computational Fluid Dynamics

Vorticity apply CFD to a range of aerodynamic problems for subsonic, supersonic flow using the OpenFOAM solvers and using Pointwise and proprietary codes for grid generation. We have good experience of the application Detached Eddy Simulation to evaluate transonic instability for bluff aeroshell shapes.

We also have experience of Direct Simulation Monte Carlo methods for rarefied gas flows. Specifically we have investigated inflatable structures for aerocapture.
